Gotta Catch 'Em All!

So there was this one time my friends and I decided to dress up in outfits inspired by Pokemon starters. Why? Because why the heck not? Also my friends are also delightful nerds who enjoy skipping about in pretty dresses. Also of note: this was right after Pokemon Go came out and everyone was crazy about it. If you can't tell we have (from left to right) Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander. How many of you read those in the voice of the Pokemon? Go on. You can admit it. I did it as I typed it.
This is one of my favorite things to do. Dress up in outfits inspired by characters from shows I absolutely adore. Now, I'm not talking obvious or detailed cosplay... I'm getting a doctorate. I don't have the time or the money to put together cosplay on the reg. Plus, if I'm going to cosplay I'm the type of person that wouldn't be satisfied with substandard. I would, indeed, go all out. However, an outfit that is simply inspired by a character that in no way demands perfection? Sign me up! It's like mini Halloween or a con without any of the pressure and with all of the daily wearability. I may do it on occasion... Huzzah.
